Google Veo 3, a sophisticated AI video generating tool, can produce images and synced music, unlike OpenAI’s Sora. The introduction on Tuesday advances Google’s generative AI efforts, particularly as multimedia AI tools become more popular.

Veo 3 lets users create films with text and graphic suggestions and realistic audio including human speech and animal noises. Google DeepMind VP of Product Eli Collins praised the tool’s realistic mechanics and lip synchronization.

Google Ultra members in the U.S. pay $249.99 per month for the technology, which is also offered to business users via Vertex AI. Other areas should get it shortly.

Along with Veo 3, Google developed Imagen 4, a better picture generating model that uses user inputs to generate better images. It also released Flow, a filmmaking tool that lets users describe shots, locations, and styles to create cinematic sequences. Flow is available via Google Gemini, Whisk, Vertex AI, and Workspace.

AI Challenges and Competition
AI media competition is intensifying, prompting the declaration. OpenAI’s 4o model, which generates graphics using ChatGPT, become so popular this year that it exceeded its computer capabilities. Google’s Imagen 3 AI picture tool was relaunched after historical mistakes drew criticism.

Google has improved Veo 2, enabling users to alter films by adding or deleting objects using language instructions. Through Vertex AI, Google is offering Lyria 2 audio creation to YouTube Shorts producers and corporate customers.
